Our courts are equipped with modern surfaces that are used in the largest world tournaments.
The NTC clay courts use Cremonini multi-layered red clay, which is also used at Roland Garros. Cremonini clay consists of multiple layers:
The lower layer – due to its durability, provides an effective base for the upper layers; created so that it needs minimal wetting, and in case of rain it effectively drains excess water.
Tennis under-layer (middle layer) – the main component of clay terrain. It provides elasticity, compactness, and effective draining of excess water; this layer gives the Cremonini clay its rich red color.
Tennis upper layer – consists of carefully selected red bricks, without any impurities; known as the “reddest” on the market.
Windproof tennis top layer – same color and composition as the Cremonini top layer, but with a larger grain size that guarantees better stability on the court, in case of rain and wind.
The multi-layer hard surface DecoTurf is durable and stable and requires minimal maintenance. It is created from several layers of rubber granules, which helps the base “breathe”.
Due to the softness produced by the layers, the DecoTurf surface reduces the pressure on the knees and joints of the players, reducing the risk of their injury.
The acrylic color of the surface is very durable, showing no changes due to weather conditions and UV light, so it remains completely unchanged for years.
The surface is created from recycled materials, and is used in the world’s biggest tournaments – it has been the official surface at the US Open since 1978, and it is also used by tournaments in Dubai, Montreal, Cincinnati, Beijing, Shanghai, as well as many Davis Cup matches.
