Ivan Bjelica was a senior national champion in 2009. He took part in 22 finals of the ITF Men’s Circuit (known today as the ITF World Tennis Tour), and he won 12 titles.
With a tennis scholarship, Bjelica graduated in Banking and Finance from the University of Mississippi. In the U.S. in 2008, he won the “All-American singles honors” award. Also, Ivan took part in team tennis and won the German Bundes league with two different clubs. He achieved his best career ranking in 2011 when he was the 290th player in the world.
Bjelica came onto the world tennis scene in 1990, and he played over 1000 matches in his senior career.
Ivan’s coaching career is rich with high results:
He coached Kaia Kanepi, ex number 15 on the WTA rankings. With Ivan as a coach, Kaia reached the 4th round of Roland Garros and the second round of the US Open.
Bjelica has also coached Pedja Krstin, former 159th player of the world, as well as brothers Matej and Ivan Sabanov.
